Local, Mixed and Cloud describe how a session is processed. Your plan determines which of these modes you can use and how much cloud usage is included.

What stays on your PC

Audio capture happens on your device in every mode. Session history is stored there, encrypted. Both editions normally transcribe on your PC. In Cloud mode, either can use gateway transcription after explicit route selection, which sends detected speech segments rather than a continuous room feed.

Choose how answers are created

  • Local: answers run on your PC. Choose it when you want your interview content to stay on the device and your hardware can run the local models.
  • Mixed: the question and approved profile material go through the CueFlect gateway to a cloud AI provider for answering. Screenshot pixels stay on your PC.
  • Cloud: cloud answering with screenshot context available under the accepted terms. The lightweight Cloud edition answers through the gateway and still transcribes speech on your PC by default.

Match a plan to your setup

Choose Local for answers on your own hardware. Choose Mixed for cloud answers while keeping capture and transcription local. Choose Cloud for a larger cloud allowance, screenshot context and access to the lightweight Cloud edition.

You can try all three modes with the Free plan's daily answer limit. Compare the current allowances and billing options on pricing. For the detailed data flow, see privacy.

Grounded in your experience

Every mode includes the instruction against inventing your experience and shows which material was used. Requests that cannot fit the required instructions and question are refused. Answers can still be wrong: review them and use your own judgment.
